'The Walking Dead' actor charged with DUI

Los Angeles, May 5 (EFE).- Actor Seth Gilliam, best known for his role as a priest in 'The Walking Dead' series, was arrested last weekend for driving under the influence, reported the entertainment website

Gilliam, 46, was caught driving at more than 170 kph (107 mph) in Peachtree City, Georgia, said the website on Monday.

Police noticed a strong smell of alcohol in the vehicle and asked Gilliam if he had been drinking.

The police report said the actor admitted to having consumed alcohol and a subsequent breath test was positive.

Police also found a small amount of marijuana in his possession.

Gilliam was later released after paying $10,000 bail.

Another actor from the same series, Chad L. Coleman, was recently involved in a minor altercation on the New York City metro, shouting at and frightening passengers.

In that case, according to, the actor explained he was sober and simply expressing his discontent following the death of an African American in police custody in Baltimore the previous week.
